General Evaluation

Valuable for understanding your system’s condition and extending its lifespan.

A septic inspection is a thorough evaluation of your entire septic system. We begin by discussing the history and use of the system. We then perform a site walk-through to find system components and note any immediate visual concerns.

Starting with the septic tank, we inspect both the inlet pipe and baffle, and then the outlet pipe and baffle. Using advanced video technology we are able to see inside underground pipes and into the dark septic tank clearly.

After the septic tank, we move onto the EDA. The EDA, or effluent disposal area, is typically either a leach field or dry well. A standard leach field consists of a d-box, or distribution box, leach field laterals, and a vent pipe.

After thoroughly inspecting each component of the septic system, and recording high quality photos and videos, your report is created and made available within 24 hours of the inspection.

Inspection Process

We begin by discussing the history and use of the system. We also explain unfamiliar septic terms in a clear and understandable way.

We examine all critical components, including:

  • Septic tank

  • Inlet & outlet baffle

  • Distribution box (D-box)

  • Piping

  • Effluent Disposal Area (EDA) — the part of your yard where treated wastewater is released

After thoroughly inspecting

each component of the

septic system, and recording

high quality photos and videos,

your report is created and made available within 24 hours of the inspection.
